Hi there, We’re Della & Scobie

the creators behind Oasis & Glacier

Currently, we live and travel full time in our tiny trailer with our cat Marjorie. We are freelancers that offer content creation via a variety of mediums, with a specialty in photography, and videography. Scobie, being the IT expert he is, handles all of the technical and procedural aspects of our creative endeavors, while Della focuses on art direction, camerawork, and video editing.

It all started when

We decided to make the leap into full-time freelance work together two years ago. We wanted to create a life for ourselves where we could merge both of our skill sets into one shared endeavor. In order to do this, we needed to live as frugally as possible and move out of San Francisco (the place we met) to stretch our savings while building a client base. We purchased a vintage travel trailer and renovated it ourselves on a tight budget into a mobile home and workspace. We are using full-time travel as a way to keep our creative fires stoked, live in and reconnect with nature, and explore the beautiful land of turtle island in order to decide where we want to live next. We hope to someday find a nice place to put down roots where we can live sustainably, grow food, and invest in creating community.

OUr Rig

Our current setup is a 16ft 1983 Scamp Trailer that we purchased from a very nice guy on craigslist back in the beginning of 2020. We tow our camper, which we lovingly refer to as “Dusty”, (due to its perpetually dust-covered existence that is an unyielding reality in our tiny mobile lives) with a 2013 Subaru Outback 3.6r limited. The Subaru’s name is Indigo, but we don’t have a clever reason behind that name. Actually, the car isn’t even remotely blue. It’s probably more of a charcoal if anything. We designed our setup with simplicity and sustainability at top of mind, and reused as much existing and reclaimed materials as possible in the build.

Our Aim is

To use the art we create to make a positive impact on our world, no matter how small, and spread love to all the places we go.

Live in a way that is aligned with our personal ethos, while remaining open minded and acknowledging that our world views are ever-changing (and embracing that reality).

Strive to continually work on ourselves in order to be the best people we can, doing inner ego work, and staying present. All while remaining cognizant of the fact that this will be a life long endeavor, rather than an end goal we arrive at.

Create art that we are proud to share with the world and produce quality work for our lovely clients, current and future!

We would love to connect with other like-minded individuals for projects, or to make new friends (another goal of ours). So, please reach out if you think we’d get on well. We truly would love to hear from you!

If you’d like to stay apprised of the latest with us please submit your email and we will ping you when there are any major updates on our end. Thanks for being here with us :-)
